What Happens to Your Stash When D2R Season 15 Ends?
Season 15 ends Monday, Nov 9 at 11 AM PST. Anything from Season 14 still in your Withdraw Only stash tabs is lost at that moment. Here is what moves, what disappears, and a checklist to run this weekend.
When Season 15 ends on Monday, Nov 9 at 11 AM PST, the Shared Stash items for your ladder group move into a set of Withdraw Only tabs. Anything from Season 14 still sitting in those tabs is lost at that moment, so empty them before Monday.
Your characters are not the problem, because ladder characters move to the matching non-ladder group. The stash tabs carry the deadline. This comes from Blizzard's Season 16 announcement, and since Season 15 is still running as of Nov 6, we have not seen the cutoff happen yet.
What Happens to Your Stash When Ladder Season Ends
The Withdraw Only tabs are the ones behind the Past checkbox. As the name says, they are for taking items out, not for storing new ones. They also hold one season's worth of stash at a time. Blizzard's rule is that Season 15 items can be withdrawn all through Season 16, and when Season 16 ends those tabs are overwritten the same way.
That gives you two piles to think about right now:
| What | Fate on Nov 9, 11 AM PST |
|---|
| Season 14 items still in Withdraw Only (Past) tabs | Lost |
| Season 15 items in your ladder Shared Stash | Move into the Withdraw Only tabs and stay withdrawable through Season 16 |
| Your Season 15 ladder characters | Move to the matching non-ladder group |
Our older write-ups on losing characters after a reset and what happens to ladder characters cover the character side. The stash is where the deadline lives, and missing it costs you items through nothing more than procrastination.
Three mistakes are worth heading off. The first is treating the Past tabs as a permanent archive, when they are a one-season holding area. The second is checking only softcore and forgetting that hardcore ladder has its own stash. The third is starting to withdraw before you have made room, then running out of space halfway through and leaving the good items behind.
The Nov 9 Cutoff in Your Time Zone
Blizzard gave the time as 11 AM PST. The conversions below are our arithmetic:
- US East Coast: 2 PM EST on Monday
- Europe: 7 PM GMT or 8 PM CET on Monday
- China: 3 AM CST on Tuesday, Nov 10
- Korea: 4 AM KST on Tuesday, Nov 10
Our advice is to finish this weekend. Nov 9 is also the day Patch 3.4 starts rolling out, and a stash cleanup squeezed into Monday morning is the plan most likely to go wrong. If you are in Asia, the cutoff falls in the small hours of Tuesday, so treat Monday evening as your deadline.
Before-Reset Stash Checklist
Work through this in order.
- Check every mode you played. Ladder comes in four modes: Pre-Expansion Ladder, Pre-Expansion Hardcore Ladder, Ladder and Hardcore Ladder. Log into each one you used last season and tick the Past checkbox to see what is waiting.
- Withdraw what you want to keep. Anything from Season 14 you leave in a Withdraw Only tab is gone on Monday. If you are unsure if something matters, take it out and decide later. Leaving it costs you the item.
- Make room first. Regular tab space is finite. Clear a tab, or move overflow onto a mule character, before you start pulling things out of the Past tabs.
- Write down what you found. A screenshot of the Past tabs takes seconds and saves you guessing later what you kept and why.
- Look at your current ladder stash. Those Season 15 items will move into Withdraw Only tabs on Monday. You do not have to rescue them this weekend, but anything you want long-term has to come out before those tabs are overwritten.
Season 15 Items During Season 16
Those Withdraw Only tabs become your countdown. Season 15 items stay available for the entire Season 16, and then they get the Season 14 treatment. Blizzard's notes give no end date for Season 16, so the safest habit is to empty the tabs early.
Our suggestion is to do it in the first week of the new season while you are still fresh, not in the last week when you are busy with other things. Pull out the pieces you will use, park the rest on a mule character, and treat anything left in the tabs as already gone. For more on the surrounding housekeeping, the ladder reset prep checklist covers the rest of the pre-season routine.
FAQ
How do I check my Withdraw Only stash tabs in D2R?
Tick the Past checkbox. The Withdraw Only tabs are the ones that show up behind it, and whatever is inside is last season's stash. Do this for every ladder mode you played.
Do I lose my Season 15 characters when the season ends?
No. Ladder characters move to their matching non-ladder group when Season 15 ends. The deadline applies to Shared Stash items sitting in the Withdraw Only tabs, not to the characters themselves.
How long do Season 15 items stay in Withdraw Only tabs?
For all of Season 16. When Season 16 ends, those tabs are overwritten the same way, so anything still in them at that point is lost.
Stash Sorted? Find Your Season 16 Crew
With the stash sorted, the next question is who you are playing with. Once you have created an account and saved your Ladder Setup, you show up in the free-agent pool where captains can find you, and the teams page lets you apply to a roster that fits your schedule. Our ladder is the community RotW ladder with 8-man teams, separate from Blizzard's official leaderboard.
