Diablo 5 Beta, Platforms and Sign-Up: What Is Confirmed
As of November 2026 Blizzard has not announced a Diablo 5 beta, platforms, pre-orders, editions or price. Here is what is confirmed, where to sign up for updates, and answers on PS5, Xbox, Switch 2, PC and Game Pass.
As of November 2026, Blizzard has not announced a Diablo 5 beta, platforms, pre-orders, editions or a price. What is confirmed is a Spring 2029 release window, a sign-up page for updates at diablo5.blizzard.com, and regular development updates that Blizzard plans to start in 2027.
The official name is Diablo V, and Diablo 5 is the spelling most players search for, so both names appear here. The facts below come from Blizzard's BlizzCon 2026 announcements, including the opening ceremony recap. The Diablo 5 release date guide has the full picture.

Blizzard describes the BlizzCon reveal as a first glimpse. Each row marked Not announced is literal: the gap covers every console, PC and the Switch 2 alike.
Where Can You Check for Official Diablo 5 Updates?
Blizzard's announcement is spread across several posts, including the opening ceremony recap, the Diablo V: Forging the Next Era panel post, and Diablo V is Coming Spring 2029. Beyond those, the sign-up page below and the development updates planned for 2027 are the official channels Blizzard has named. A claim about a beta, a platform or a price that cannot be traced to one of them should be treated as unconfirmed.
How Do You Sign Up for Diablo 5 Updates?
Blizzard's announcement posts send players to diablo5.blizzard.com to sign up for future updates. Type that address directly instead of trusting a search result or a shared link.
Blizzard has not said what signing up leads to. It has not said that signing up gives beta access, early access or any other perk, only that it is how to hear about updates. Since no beta or pre-order exists yet, any site offering a Diablo 5 beta key or a pre-order should be treated as unofficial until Blizzard says otherwise.
Is Diablo 5 Coming to PS5, Xbox, Switch 2 or PC?
Blizzard has not announced platforms for Diablo 5, so no console and no PC release has been confirmed. It is natural to wonder whether Diablo 5 will follow Diablo IV's platforms, but Blizzard has not said so.
Here is the context that is factual. Diablo IV launched on Nintendo Switch 2 on September 15, 2026 through the Diablo IV: Age of Hatred Collection, which bundles the base game with the Vessel of Hatred and Lord of Hatred expansions. That describes where Diablo IV is today. It does not tell anyone where Diablo 5 will launch, and Blizzard has not linked the two. Diablo 4 After BlizzCon 2026: Amazon, Switch 2 and More covers the Switch 2 collection in detail.
When Will Blizzard Share More About Diablo 5?
Blizzard plans regular development updates starting in 2027. It has not said whether platforms, a beta, pre-orders or editions will arrive in them, or on what date. The release window itself is Spring 2029, and Blizzard calls the game still early in development.
What This Could Mean (Speculation)
The gap between a first glimpse in 2026 and a Spring 2029 window could mean that platform, beta and pricing details are still a long way off. Blizzard has not said so. The only dates it has given are the Spring 2029 window and the start of development updates in 2027, so any specific beta date or platform list seen elsewhere should be treated as a guess.
FAQ
Is there a Diablo 5 beta?
No. As of November 2026 Blizzard has not announced a beta. Signing up at diablo5.blizzard.com is how to hear about future updates, but Blizzard has not said that it leads to beta access.
Is Diablo 5 coming to PS5?
Blizzard has not announced platforms, so PlayStation 5 is neither confirmed nor ruled out.
Is Diablo 5 coming to Xbox or Game Pass?
Xbox consoles and Game Pass are not part of any announcement. Blizzard has not announced platforms, a price, editions or any Game Pass plan, so there is nothing to confirm either way.
Is Diablo 5 coming to Switch 2?
Not announced. The Diablo IV: Age of Hatred Collection launched on Switch 2 on September 15, 2026, but that is a Diablo IV release and says nothing about Diablo 5.
Will Diablo 5 be on PC?
Blizzard has not announced platforms, and that includes PC, so nothing is confirmed until Blizzard names the platforms.
Should I buy a console for Diablo 5?
There is no reason to yet. No platform is confirmed and the release window is Spring 2029, so a hardware purchase made for Diablo 5 today would be a bet on an unannounced platform list. Waiting for Blizzard to name platforms costs nothing.
Will Diablo 5 have crossplay or cross-progression?
Blizzard has not said. Multiplayer is among the features that have not been described yet.
What is the Diablo 5 release date?
Spring 2029, with no month or day. Blizzard says the game is officially in development and still early.
Can I pre-order Diablo 5, and how much will it cost?
Not yet. Pre-orders, editions and the price have not been announced.
