Find a D2R Team in Europe or Asia for Season 16
Season 16 starts at 1 AM GMT in Europe and 9 AM China Standard Time in Asia on Saturday, November 14. Here is how that shapes team play, how to filter by region on the site, and what to do when the local pool is small.
For a D2R team in Europe or Asia this season, set your region in your profile, filter the teams and the player pool by it, read each team's mission statement for hours, and plan around the launch times: Saturday, November 14 at 1 AM GMT (2 AM CET) in Europe and 9 AM China Standard Time (10 AM Korea Standard Time) in Asia. A team that shares your clock makes the first night far easier.
For North America, Season 16 starts Friday, November 13 at 5 PM PST (8 PM EST). All three launches are the same moment; only the clock on your wall changes. The times come from Blizzard's Season 16 announcement, and our start date guide lays them out by region.
When Season 16 Starts for Europe and Asia
| Region | Local launch time |
|---|
| North America | Friday, November 13, 5 PM PST (8 PM EST) |
| Europe | Saturday, November 14, 1 AM GMT (2 AM CET) |
| Asia | Saturday, November 14, 9 AM CST (10 AM KST) |
The European slot is the awkward one. Either your team stays up through the first night, or half of it sleeps and starts Saturday morning, hours behind. Asia gets a Saturday morning start, which suits a normal sleep schedule. Whatever the clock says, the opening hours are busy, and how servers handle the reset rush is worth a skim.
That timing should shape the team you pick. An 8-man plan wants all eight players in one game at once, so a roster spread across clocks will play different shifts. Ask a captain directly: who is awake at launch, who takes over, and where does the written plan live? Team pages on the site include an act-by-act strategy and a task matrix, which makes a handoff easier.
D2R EU Team or Asia Ladder Team: Filtering on the Site
Set your region first, since captains filter on it. The Ladder Setup region dropdown offers North America (NA), Europe (EU) and Asia (ASIA) and defaults to NA, so change it if you play on another realm.
The players page and the teams page both filter by region with All Regions, NA, EU and ASIA, so the same dropdown finds an Asia ladder team or a European one. Every team card shows its region, mode, captain and mission statement, and the search box checks names, tags, captains and mission statements. Narrow the list further with the mode and commitment dropdowns. Teams choose their own region when they are created, and that tag says where a team plays but not when, so read the mission statement for hours.
For a D2R Europe clan, filter the teams page to EU and read the mission statements for a timezone. A line like "evenings CET" tells you more than the region tag.
Smaller Pools: What to Expect
How many EU or Asia players are listed changes from day to day, and you should not assume a deep pool in your region. The pool you see on the page when you check is the pool you have. If it looks thin, three things help:
- Check again after the weekend. Cards appear as players finish their profiles, so the pool you see on Thursday is not the pool you will see on Sunday.
- Start the team yourself. A core of three or four players in one region, plus the bench, is a real start.
- Recruit from outside the site. Post your region and hours in Discord LFG channels, using the recruitment post templates for wording, and point people to your team page. The guide to where to find ladder players covers the options.
Cross-Region Tips: Realms, Overlap and Handoffs
To share a game, everyone on a roster needs to play on the same Battle.net region, and distance adds latency, so a European player on an Asian realm will feel it. Treat region as part of the team's identity. Mixed rosters can work only if everyone agrees on one realm and accepts the ping.
Time overlap is easier to plan than people expect. European evenings overlap North American afternoons: 8 PM CET is 2 PM EST. Asian evenings overlap European lunchtime: 9 PM KST is 1 PM CET. So a team with Asian and European players has natural hours together at those edges. Put the shift plan in writing, say who covers launch, and keep voice open for the handoff.
FAQ
What time does Season 16 start in Europe?
Saturday, November 14 at 1 AM GMT, which is 2 AM CET. That is the same moment as the North American Friday 5 PM PST start, so expect the first stretch to be busy.
Is there an Asia ladder for D2R Season 16?
Yes. Blizzard lists a start for Asia on Saturday, November 14 at 9 AM China Standard Time and 10 AM Korea Standard Time. On the site, Asia is a region option in your Ladder Setup and in team creation, and you can filter both the player pool and the teams page by it.
Can I join a North American team from Europe?
You can try, but you would both need to be on the same Battle.net region, and you would be playing at odd hours. Ask the captain about realm, schedule and voice before you apply. A team on your own clock is usually the better fit.
Set Your Region and Find Your Clock
Create an account at /register and save your region in your Ladder Setup, then scan the player pool with the ASIA or EU filter. On the teams page, set the region filter to EU or ASIA and read each team's details for its timezone. The reset countdown counts down to the start, so you can stop doing the math at midnight.
