D2R Recruitment Post Templates for Season 16 Teams
Copy-ready D2R recruitment post templates for Season 16 teams: casual, speedrun and taxi, hardcore, and Europe or Asia. Covers what a recruiting post needs, where to post it, how to screen applicants and how to fill the last slots.
A D2R recruitment post needs six things: mode and ruleset, region and hours, the slots still open, the commitment level, voice, and how to apply. Copy a template below, swap in the real details, and post it in three places: the team's mission statement, the /lfg board and the D2 Hustlers Discord.
Season 16 starts Friday, November 13 at 5 PM PST (8 PM EST), per Blizzard's Season 16 announcement, so a post written this week can name a real launch time. Each template is short on purpose, because a stranger decides in a few seconds whether a post is about them. A captain who has not created the team yet should start with how to start a D2R team for Season 16, since every post below points people to the team page.
What Should a D2R Recruitment Post Include?
- Mode, ruleset and region. "Softcore RotW NA" saves everyone a wasted reply. Use the words from the team form so the post and the team card agree.
- Hours with a timezone. "Weeknights 8 to 11 PM CET" beats "evenings".
- The slots still open. Name classes and builds from the form's lists, such as Paladin (Aura Support) or Barbarian (Support BO/Shout).
- The commitment level. Use the site's word (Casual, Semi-Serious, Serious or Race) plus one concrete sentence, such as "no attendance quota" or "everyone online at launch".
- Voice. Mic required, mic preferred or text fine. If the team's voice runs on a Discord server, say where it runs.
- How to apply. "Press Join Team" on an open team, "Request to Join" on a closed one.
One optional seventh line earns its space: how loot is split. Drops are where good teams argue first.
Four D2R Recruitment Post Templates You Can Copy
Square brackets mark the parts to replace. Keep the first line of each, because it carries mode, ruleset, region and commitment in one glance.
Casual team
[Team name] [TAG] | Casual | Softcore | RotW | NA
Casual Season 16 team, [3] slots open. [Weeknights 8 to 11 PM EST] plus Sunday afternoon, no attendance quota, a missed night costs nothing. Mic optional. Runes pooled, uniques go to whoever can use them. Need Paladin (Aura Support), Barbarian (Support BO/Shout) and any Sorceress. Find the team on the teams page, press [Join Team or Request to Join], and add your class, build and usual hours.
Speedrun and taxi team
[Team name] [TAG] | Race | Softcore | RotW | NA
Taxi Strat 3.0 launch push, [3] slots open: Tele Sorc, Limo Sorc and Conviction Paladin. Everyone online at 5 PM PST Friday and booked for the first [12] hours, with sleep shifts agreed in advance. Mic required. Practice run [Wednesday 8 PM EST]. Apply with class, build, experience with the plan and the hours available in the first 24.
Hardcore team
[Team name] [TAG] | Serious | Hardcore | RotW | NA
Hardcore Season 16 team, [2] slots open: Paladin and Sorceress. The group plays Hell together: nobody pushes alone, portals stay open, anyone can call a retreat without an argument. Mic required. Sessions [Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday, 7 to 11 PM EST]. Apply with class, build and hardcore experience.
Europe or Asia team
[Team name] [TAG] | Semi-Serious | Softcore | RotW | [EU or ASIA]
Europe version: launch is 1 AM GMT / 2 AM CET on Saturday, so a core group starts then and everyone else joins from [4 PM CET]. Asia version: launch is 9 AM CST / 10 AM KST on Saturday morning, so the whole team starts together. [4] slots open, need [classes]. Mic preferred. Apply with class, build, timezone and whether starting at launch works.
Trim before posting. Sixty to a hundred words is plenty, and anything the team does not actually do should come out: a post that promises "no quota" and then schedules five mandatory sessions loses its roster in week two. The casual team guide, the hardcore team guide and the Europe and Asia team guide go deeper on each style.
Where Do You Post a D2R Recruitment Post?
Mission statement. It goes live with the team, shows about three lines on the card on the teams page, and the search box there reads it. Put mode, region and open slots in the opening sentence.
/lfg. The board lists runs, not teams, so use it for a trial run. Log in, press + Post a Run, pick a run type (Baal, Chaos, Cows, Rush, Ubers, TZ or Other), put the team name and tag in the title so people can find the team afterwards, list the open classes under Roles Needed, and put hours and how to apply in Notes. Players join with a role and a note, the host accepts or declines each one, and Message organizer handles questions.
Discord. Join the D2 Hustlers server at discord.gg/QE9V9JX8ME, read the channel topics and rules, then post the template once where recruiting belongs and update it instead of bumping it.
Free-agent page. The players page works as outreach. A captain with a team sees a fit score and an Invite to Team button on each card. The page filters by the region, main class and seriousness saved in Ladder Setup, so a Europe or Asia team can narrow the list to its own region.
D2R itself has no in-game clan or guild system, so a post has to carry the whole contact path: name the team page, not just a Battle.net name. The LFG and Discord guide compares the channels in more detail.
How Do You Screen Applicants for a D2R Team?
Application screening only happens on a closed team. An open team seats whoever presses Join Team, and the open setting is chosen in the create form, so decide before the team goes live.
Applications land on the Applicants page (/ladder/applications), and the Applicants tab on the team page shows the same inbox. Each one lists the applicant's message, the class and build they prefer, a fit score out of 100 with a label (Exact, Strong, Partial or Weak), a short Ladder Setup summary and a View Profile link. Applying from the teams page sends no message, so a blank one is normal. The Conversation box under each application is where screening happens, and both sides can write in it.
Four buttons decide the outcome:
- Request Info asks a question and gives the applicant a Respond button.
- Suggest Change proposes another class, build or slot.
- Approve opens a slot picker: choose an open slot, or press Place on Bench.
- Deny closes the application, with an optional note.
Five questions cover most of what a captain needs. How many hours can you give in the first 24, and can you start at launch? What timezone are you in, and do you use a mic? Which slot do you want, and would you take the bench? What happened the last time someone dropped out of a team you played with? Can you do one trial session before launch? A fit score only reflects what the profile says, and a profile saved without opening More details carries defaults (Casual, On the mic, Right at reset, 4-8h), so confirm hours in the conversation.
How Do You Fill the Last Slots in Launch Week?
Count the open slots by class, then post again with only those: "2 slots: Paladin, Barbarian. Trial run Wednesday 8 PM EST." A shorter ask gets cleaner replies than the original template.
Then work the list. The Suggested Players to Invite panel on the ladder overview shows free agents ranked by fit, with an Invite button that opens a slot picker. An invite is not a placement: the player has to accept, and accepting closes their other pending applications and invites.
Use the bench for strong players who do not fit an active slot yet. Up to 4 fit, and Assign... on an open slot moves one up when a seat appears. Finally, schedule a trial run from the Run Schedule tab on the reset page, or post it on /lfg, so the first time the group plays together is not launch night.
FAQ
How long should a D2R recruitment post be?
Sixty to a hundred words. The first line should carry mode, ruleset, region and commitment, because the team card shows only about three lines of a mission statement.
Should a recruiting post list the classes needed?
Yes, with builds from the form's lists. Naming a Paladin build gets replies from Paladin players. Strict Mode goes further and disables the apply button for players whose saved Main class and build do not match, so use it only for a slot the plan truly depends on.
Is there an in-game clan system to recruit through?
No. D2R has no clan or guild feature, so groups form through the friends list, parties, game names and passwords, and sites like this one. A recruitment post should say where to apply.
How many players should a captain accept?
Eight active and up to four on the bench, which is the roster limit. Accept a bench player only if the captain would happily play with them on a bad night.
Post It, Then Watch the Inbox
Put the template in the mission statement first, then post it on /lfg and in the Discord. Check the teams page to see how the card reads to a stranger, and browse the free-agent page for invites to send. Free agents have their own checklist in how to get picked up by a Season 16 team, and the guide to finding a Season 16 team shows the whole search from the player side.
